Beginner Friendly

In this hands-on beginner course, students will learn how to confidently use a sewing machine while creating a project of their own—choosing between a wearable garment or a decorative cushion to take home.

With plenty of time to practice, ask questions, and get creative, students will learn essential sewing techniques and understand how a project comes together from start to finish.

Classes are kept intentionally small so every student receives personalized guidance and plenty of individual attention. No sewing experience needed

Young Makers: Sewing & Creative Design

Ages 9-13

Schedule designed according to the academic term

A fun, hands-on sewing course for young makers, designed to nurture creativity while building practical skills, confidence and independence.

With a maximum of just four students per class, each young maker receives plenty of individual attention and guidance while having the freedom to explore their own ideas and create projects they’re proud of.

Students will learn practical sewing skills, develop concentration and problem-solving abilities, and improve hand-eye coordination, patience and dexterity—all in a calm, supportive environment that encourages them to discover their own creative voice.

No previous sewing experience is needed. Sewing machines, tools and equipment are provided.

Intermediate & Advanced
Course

Fitting and Finishing support

Designed for sewists who want to build their confidence, develop their skills, tackle new challenges or get support with a project of their own.

Get to know your sewing machine better, from threading and adjusting settings to troubleshooting when things go wrong and stitching with confidence. Bring along a project you’re working on—or something you’ve been stuck on—and receive individual guidance with techniques, fitting, construction and finishing.

These relaxed, supportive sessions give you the time and space to work at your own pace, solve problems and build on the skills you already have, while enjoying friendly company, skill sharing and plenty of personalized support.

Teen & Young Adult: Sew Your Own Wardrobe

Ages 14-18

A hands-on garment-making course for teens and young adults who want to learn how to create clothes of their own. All levels are welcome, with plenty of individual guidance and support along the way.

Learn how to work with a sewing pattern, cut and prepare fabric, confidently use a sewing machine, and explore different sewing and garment-making techniques from start to finish.

Each course focuses on creating a different piece, giving students the chance to build their skills, develop their personal style and create a wardrobe they’re proud to wear.

Sewing Machine Workshop

Sewing Machine Basics

A practical, hands-on workshop designed to help you feel confident using your sewing machine. Perfect for beginners, anyone returning to sewing, or those who simply want to understand their machine better.

Learn how to thread your machine, wind and insert a bobbin, adjust basic settings and stitch straight with confidence. We’ll also cover common problems, simple troubleshooting and how to get the best from your machine.

Bring your own sewing machine and learn how to use it with confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment, with plenty of time to practice and ask questions. Don’t have a machine? No problem — sewing machines are available to borrow during the workshop.

Bring a Friend or One to One

Do you have clothes tucked away in your wardrobe that are too long, the wrong shape, or just don’t quite fit—but you can’t bear to part with them?

Bring them along and learn how to give them a new lease of life. These relaxed, hands-on sessions are tailored to you and your garment, guiding you through measuring, fitting, marking, cutting, and sewing.

You’ll learn practical alteration skills you can use again and again, while saving money, reducing waste, and making more of the clothes you already love.

Come on your own or bring a friend and enjoy some relaxed, creative time learning together.
